The coming of spring means several things to me. First, it brings warmer weather, and for me, that means the Bonito will soon be arriving along the Carolina coast. This can only mean one thing: the 2025 saltwater fishing season is beginning. Even though the fishing season hasn’t officially started, it has already begun for me. This is the time of year when I go through my tackle and fishing gear to determine what needs to be fixed, polished, replaced, sharpened, or simply thrown away. It’s a process that I genuinely enjoy.
